Revised Comedogenic Thresholding
Rather than relying on outdated 1970s rabbit ear tests, Oriva weighs ingredient placement in the INCI list, finished texture viscosity (gel, lotion, cream, balm), and sebum-dissolving actives (salicylic acid) to determine true acne safety.
Pregnancy Safety Screening
Flags systemic and topical Vitamin A derivatives (Tretinoin, Retinol, Retinal, Adapalene), hydroquinone, and leave-on salicylic acid >2%, while highlighting dermatologist-approved alternatives (Azelaic Acid 10–15%, L-Ascorbic Acid, Glycolic Acid <10%).
